My name is Martha and I have been working within the world of energy therapies for over 20 years. 

Living in Gran Canaria

After many exciting years travelling around the world, I found myself working as a winter maintenance crew on a yacht based in the south of Gran Canaria.  

Here, I met the father of my daughter, Georgia. Though, this relationship was short lasting as he was killed in a car accident when Georgia was 9 months old.  

It was at this time that I was introduced to Reiki.  I'd heard of it before, but dismissed it as ridiculous!   I was also very cautious of body treatments, as I'd had a boating accident at the age of 20, crushing a vertebrae in the centre of my back and a traumatic massage experience in Thailand, a few years later, didn't leave me very trusting.  

However, the Reiki was MAGIC!  Not only did it help to undo the tangle of thoughts and emotions in my head, but, for the first time in many years, the pain in my back became manageable and moved into the background.

My Journey With Reiki

​​The discovery of Reiki changed my life - that and the magical island of Gran Canaria.  I had weekly sessions for months.  It helped so much with keeping my daily life as a single, working mum on track.  

Six months after Georgias' father was killed my own father also died suddenly and both my mother and I benefited from the power of this gentle art to hold us through the grieving process. 

​Once I felt myself again, I was so grateful with how much Reiki had helped me that I spent the following year training and practicing, and in October 2002 I achieved a Master Level in Usui Reiki.  

My Discovery of EFT

I started to explore further, studying a host of modalities including hypnotherapy, acupressure and massage.  I then stumbled upon the single most profound therapy that resonated with me as strongly then (in 2003) as it does today in 2024.  

EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique (or Tapping).  Back then, EFT was still in its infancy and I was fortunate enough to learn this incredible modality and train with the Founder himself, Gary Craig.  His passion for EFT and generosity of spirit touched me deeply and I still, today, stay close to his teachings and philosophy.  

Over the past 20+ years I have worked with so many people with so many different ailments, and EFT, coupled with my trusted intuition, have never failed me.

Beginnings of GCHC

In 2011, with Georgia, my partner Steve, our four rescue dogs, one cat and a fish tank, we moved from the busy south of Gran Canaria to beautiful Fataga, a small, quiet village in the mountains.  

It was here that, in 2012,  we opened Gran Canaria Holistic Centre within the grounds of Finca Molino de Agua, a lovely, rural, hotel and restaurant.  

It was also at this time that I became increasingly involved with the horses that were kept there, rekindling my childhood passion for ponies!  I was becoming more and more in harmony with nature and animals and felt that I was finally coming home to myself. 

The Finca was a wonderful place to work, not just for one on one treatments, but for both holding and participating in exciting energy-based workshops and retreats. 

Sadly, in March of 2019, Finca Molino de Agua was destroyed in a horrible fire.  Thankfully, no person or animal was lost, but the hotel and restaurant were finished, as was our little Holistic Centre.    

When the world closed down in 2020, I was already starting to work more online, and have since focused more and more on this area.  

Leading Up to Now

In May of 2023 I was recommended to watch a Masterclass on a new modality called "Belief Coding®".  I was impressed.  This was a mixture of many of my already favourite modalities with an added touch of magic and I signed up for the training and have since become accredited.  

I believe that with this, alongside EFT and my trusty intuition, I can work with just about any issue or discomfort and be able, generally just in one treatment, to bring partial or (often as not) complete relief!  

I'm now still living in Fataga with lots of rescue dogs and have adopted the horses from Molino de Agua.  I see clients both in my home and (mostly) online.  

With work, animals and an ample garden with many fruit trees, life is never dull but I am truly grateful, each day, for all of the twists and turns that my life takes, so that I can be exactly right here, right now.  

The experiences that life has thrown at me, whilst not always making me wiser, have certainly taught me so much.  There is little that I cannot empathise with when a client brings me their reason for needing help.
